"Long before aromatherapy became prevalent in everyday life, essential oils were being tested on dogs and horses for their potential effects on humans. Aromatherapy had such a positive influence on me I saw no reason why it couldn’t do the same for my Golden Retriever, Dublin.
With my newfound knowledge, aromatherapy became a form of medicine for me. When I had a cold, I used essential oils to lessen the symptoms. A headache was easily thwarted with Peppermint and Eucalyptus. A cut or burn healed quickly with an application of essential oils and hydrosols. My home also smelled wonderful and essential oils became my natural perfume & that everyone wanted to know the brand of."

"Aromatherapy, once considered a fringe practice, has become so generally accepted and respected that it is increasingly on offer to hospital patients as part of their treatment. Current scientific research into the chemistry and medicinal use of certain essential oils has helped confirm and clarify their precise healing potential."
~ Julia Lawless, author of The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Essential Oils: The Complete Guide to the Use of Oils in Aromatherapy & Herbalism
"My personal experience with essential oils has been wonderful. I was amazed at how fast the oils brought relief to a horrible ear ache I was experiencing. The swelling and all was gone in less than two days. I also used the oils for stress relief during a much needed time in my life. Let’s put it this way “that bottle of oil became my best friend."
~ Vickie Waugh, Huntsville, Alabama
"While I was on vacation I walked on "boiling" hot sand at the beach and I exposed my skin for over several hours. I had acquired blisters on my feet from the hot sand. I rubbed lavender oil on my feet twice before bed, and spritzed my skin with lavender oil. By the next morning the blisters and the pain were gone! I had no further discomfort."
~Debbie Allen, CNHP, Denver, Colorado
"Since the beginning of recorded history, aromatic plants have been used to scent, beautify and heal the body. Today the use of essential oils worldwide is steadily becoming more widespread as greater numbers of individuals become aware of the myriad life-enhancing properties of the remarkable substances. These precious substances help balance and put us in greater harmony with the natural world. They protect us with their antibacterial properties, reduce our stress, and give us comfort, reassurance and pleasure.
Some of the oils can produce instantaneous results that are easily recognizable, while others perform their work at a slower pace in a relatively unnoticeable, subtle way. Only those people who use the oils on a regular basis can begin to understand and fully appreciate and respect their miraculous value.
Aromatherapy offers us a chance to reach out to our forgotten past. By looking to nature, with all of its benefits and beauty, we can take advantage of the valuable wisdom of the ages from our ancestors and benefit from this very precious gift of aromatic essential oils.”
~ Carol Schiller, author of The Aromatherapy Encyclopedia: A Concise Guide to over 385 Plant Oils
"I use peppermint all the time to smell or on temples for stress relief before the headache -- ahh. I also love breathing the air in my diffuser, comforting, and when others are ill, cleansing.”
~ Colleen Bigler, California
"The biggest reason I use the oils is for uplifting my spirit -- I just love the scents -- when I smell them, they make me feel good. As a Yoga instructor I am in tune with the grounding affects the oils have on my body. I use a couple drops of Lavender to help relieve any fatigue I might have and sometimes when I'm experiencing restless leg syndrome. A foot massage with a couple of drops of the oils and a few minutes of deep relaxation usually cures the symptoms so I can get to sleep.”
~ Mary Bartel, New York
"Although they are the tools of a gentle therapy, essential oils have the power to reach deep into the psyche, and to both relax the mind and uplift the Spirit.”
~ Gabriel Mojay, author of Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit: Restoring Emotional and Mental Balance with Essential Oils
"Here's a great testimonial to remove permanent marker with lemon, lavender, peppermint, rosemary or tea tree oil. These will take permanent marker off my wooden table without touching the finish! I think that shows how powerful yet gentle these oils are."
“I am using lemon oil as a cleaner. I put it on the mop to mop my wood and tile floors. Try putting a drop in the dishwasher and it will scent your kitchen and help clean your dishes. I put it in my vacuum cleaner bag to kill germs and scent the air as I vacuum. A drop or two on your sponge helps to clean and scent the counters. Lavender works too and can be mixed with the lemon.”
~ Linda, VA
"As we learn how to live in harmony with the earth, the ancient art of aromatherapy is a tool we can use to contribute to our overall sense of well-being."
~ Debra Lynn Dadd, author of Non-Toxic, Natural & Earthwise
"These natural remedies have become an essential part of my life. I don't go anywhere without them and use them every single day. I'm eliminating as many chemicals from my life as I can! I hope you too will start learning about these little plant miracles."
"Essential oils lend themselves readily to a sensitive and subtle approach, for every one of them has many properties, unlike synthetic drugs or even active principles isolated from a plant, which are "tailored" to treat a specific symptom. Essential oils are often balancing in their effects, helping the body to return from an imbalanced state which leads to illness, to the ideal balance representing health and well-being. When all the energies of the body and mind are in a state of balance, the person is in a state of health"
